Year 1 Hearing Screening 2023-2024

Cardiff and Vale Audiology Department will attend the school to carry out hearing screening on all pupils in Year 1 during this academic year.

 

A hearing screen normally happens when your child is in reception class. Due to COVID backlog, this was not possible.

 

If you consent to your child to be tested no further action is needed.

If you DO NOT wish for your child to be tested, please contact the below email address or telephone number as soon as possible. Failure to opt out will imply that consent has been given.

Children with programmable shunts should not be screened as there is a risk of the equipment affecting the shunt. If your child has a programmable shunt you will need to inform us on the above contact details.
