This week, St Peter’s was transformed into a vibrant celebration of culture, heritage and community as families, pupils and staff came together for our special Culture and Heritage Evening.

The event showcased the rich diversity of our school family, with families generously bringing and sharing traditional foods from their cultures. Visitors enjoyed tasting dishes from around the world, learning about different traditions and experiencing the warmth and hospitality that make our community so special.

The hall was filled with colour as children and adults proudly wore national dress, displayed flags and shared aspects of their cultural heritage. Music from different countries created a wonderful atmosphere, while displays and conversations enabled everyone to learn more about the backgrounds and experiences of others.

A particular highlight of the evening was the performances by our school families and pupil choir. Through music, dance and song, families shared traditions that have been passed down through generations, providing moments of joy, pride and inspiration for everyone present.

The evening was a powerful reflection of what makes St Peter’s such a special place. While we come from many different countries, cultures and backgrounds, we are united as one school family, celebrating both our uniqueness and our shared sense of belonging.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the families who contributed food, displays, performances and their time to make the evening such a tremendous success. We would also like to thank our dedicated staff, whose hard work, organisation and support helped bring the event together and ensured that everyone enjoyed such a memorable occasion.
